Band

This quartet consists of an all-star cast of musicians who bring an array of musical experiences.  This band brings its own identity which draws from a broad background of influences from the spiritual likes of John Coltrane, the soulful shuffle of Art Blakey, the intellect of the YellowJackets to a certain rich and unique identity.  

Sal Crocker

Sal Crocker brings a spiritual musical experience to the listener which transcends most performances.  Drawing from his exposure at a very young age to many genres to his studies at Berklee College of Music, his playing will pull on your heart as you feel his passion.  This award-winning musician was recently a finalist in the International Songwriting competition and is well on his way to emerging as a new L.A. based jazz artist.  Click here to read Sal’s full Bio.

Santino Tafarella

Santino Tafarella has toured with the grammy award-winning “Bob Mintzer Big Band”.  He has also played and toured cross country with Los Angeles-based hard-bop guitarist Bruce Forman.  Santino was the bassist of USC’s Thornton Jazz Orchestra, which won first place at the Monterey Jazz Festival.  Click here for more on Santino.

Ryan Shaw is an up and coming and in demand drummer.  At the tender age of 21, this burgeoning talented musician is someone to take notice of.  He has already performed with the likes of Gilbert Castellanos, Bob Sheppard, Bob McChesney, Graham Dechter, Rob Lockhart, Joshua White, Holly Hofmann, Mike Wofford just to name a few.  Click here to learn more about Ryan.

Mahesh Balasooriya is an accomplished and very seasoned pianist.  He performed at the White House with Arturo Sandoval in 2014.  He also has played with Natalie Cole, Stanley Clarke, Ravi Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, just to name a few and is the music director for Engelbert Humperdinck.    To read more about Mahesh please click here.

Kait Dunton

Kait Dunton is a Los Angeles-based composer & pianist who eagerly defies genre boundaries with her unconventional approach to composition and to the piano trio.
